A Year in the Life…of a Raspberry

Posted

The National Processed Raspberry Council’s campaign, “Field to Frozen” is rolling out the raspberry-red carpet for the second video in the series, Life. As Hollywood celebrates it’s most glamorous night, the Academy Awards, the Council will release Life, a beautiful film that captures the span of a year in raspberry country…from the perspective of a raspberry.

To celebrate the video release, host a raspberry-red themed party of your own with these simple party tips.

  1. Set the stage. Play off of raspberries’ vibrant color to serve as inspiration for your dinner table. Visit your local thrift or vintage store for dishes featuring pops of raspberry color. Check out our Pinterest board for additional raspberry-red tablescape inspiration.
  2. Sip on it. Toss a few frozen raspberries into glasses of sparking water, apple cider, or Prosecco. It’s a simple way to elevate an average glass of bubbly for your guests.
  3. Show off the savory side. Showcase the savory side of raspberries in an elegant no-fuss appetizer. Our recipe for Raspberry Caramelized Onion Chutney below can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge until the party starts.
  4. Finish with dessert. There’s no need to get complicated when frozen raspberries play center stage. The sweet and tart flavors of raspberries bring out the best in chocolate. Serve thawed, frozen raspberries in small dessert bowls and drizzle with melted dark chocolate for a healthy, yet decadent sweet treat.
