The National Processed Raspberry Council has kicked off our Red Razz Spring Fling campaign, which highlights the benefits of frozen raspberries as an ingredient in sweet and savory springtime recipes. Before the raspberry harvest hits this summer, let’s reap the taste and nutritional benefits of frozen raspberries with a Red Razz Spring Fling!
Just as the hardworking family farmers who stock our freezer with sweet-tart frozen raspberries deserve appreciation year round, so do all the moms and mother figures in our lives! Show the special women in your life some love on Mother’s Day with a homemade frozen raspberry-filled recipe.
Light & fluffy and infused with frozen raspberries – with extra ricotta cheese and frozen raspberries piled in-between – these Raspberry Ricotta Pancakes are no ordinary breakfast or brunch.
If whipping up a batch of homemade pancakes or making an elaborate meal is not you where you excel, elevate pre-made waffles, yogurt, or cinnamon rolls with a simple Raspberry Orange Sauce. In a microwave safe bowl, add 1 cup of frozen raspberries and the juice from an orange. Heat until the mixture is warm, and then whisk in 2 tablespoons of cold butter (cut into large cubes) until the butter is melted and mixture has thickened. Serve with warm maple syrup and slices of banana!
